Qur’an School

Children and youth learn the words of Allah Ta’ala, the Quran, on Saturdays. They study with professional teachers who instruct them in the Quran, helping the students to achieve correct pronunciation, as well as Tajweed. Many children and young people have learned the words of Allah in a proper and beautiful manner, to the extent that their wonderful recitation enables them to lead the prayers in the mosque.

Jummah

On Fridays, Muslims gather together to pray the prayer that unites all Muslims in Lund. A beautiful prayer that brings together all Muslims who live, work or study in Lund, regardless of where they come from, as IKC Lund is open to everyone!

During summer time the Jummah Khutba starts at 1:05pm and the prayer is finished at 1:35pm, while during the winter time the Khutba time is 12:15pm, and the prayer ends at 12:45pm.

Taraweeh

Taraweeh is a prayer that brings together both brothers and sisters for a communal prayer after Maghrib and Iftar. This highly cherished prayer fills the mosque with joy and a large congregation. From the elderly to the young, everyone loves this prayer, which is offered after fasting for the entire day, and receives Ajr from Allah Ta’ala. The Taraweeh prayer consists of 8 rakat after the Isha, and is followed by the Witr prayer in the mosque, for an authentic Ramadan experience.

Eid

The Muslim celebration, Eid! Eid Al Adha and Eid Al Fitr are times when prayers are offered and siblings warmly greet each other with “Eid Mubarak!”. The turnout is indescribable, with many people from all over Lund gathering for the communal Eid prayer, which is followed by a beautiful Eid Khutba when we are reminded by Allah’s blessings upon us, and then a huge Eid celebration for both children and adults full of  joy. The words “love and harmony” spread throughout the IKC Lund on this day!

Lectures

At IKC Lund, we continuously offer lectures, such as the Prophet’s Sirah, peace be upon him, and other types of sessions aimed at deepening our understanding of Islam through the Quran and Sunnah. These sessions are designed for children, youth, and adults. Topics related to issues such as Islamophobia, and how to be a successful Muslim, are also covered in the lectures we organize. Various speakers, well-known in the field of Da’wah, have delivered lectures at IKC Lund.

Children Activities

The children, our future generation, have various activities where they can play while learning about their religion. For example, there’s a fun rhyme about how to perform ablution (Wuduh). Toys are also available for our beloved future generations, our children. This approach integrates play with educational aspects of their faith, nurturing both their physical and spiritual growth.

Football

Brotherhood is important, and it’s essential to maintain it and also have fun. Gathering to play football strengthens the bonds among brothers. Fun games and laughter are what summarize the football matches that IKC Lund organizes!

Iftar

During Ramadan, iftar gatherings are organized to share a flavorful meal with one’s brothers and sisters. It’s like a large family sharing blessings and breaking their fast together. This is one of the highlights of Ramadan at the mosque, eagerly anticipated by everyone from the elderly to the young. The iftar at the mosque brings joy to the Muslims of Lund!
